I think helping disabled children is a great cause, and I bet you feel the same way. That’s why I am asking for your support of the fantastic Treasure Cove at Jade Street Park project. I will be one of about 100 cyclists and volunteer support crew riding 200 miles to support this project, and we need your help.

Treasure Cove at Jade Street Park will be a universally accessible playground, available to all but specially designed to provide access for children with disabilities. Our Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise has chosen the park as our primary beneficiary this year. Why? Because one of every ten children has a disability. Traditional playgrounds often don’t accommodate their needs.
I don’t often reach out to friends for fundraising, but I think that this is such a wonderful cause that you would like an opportunity to support it. I know that the park is not in your neighborhood. It’s not in mine either. But that’s not the point. It is a park to serve disabled children, and that is enough for me.
