Pacers & Crew
Pacer registration is open on RunSignup during the final month before the race.
If a runner purchases the Pacer Add-on during their registration, they will be emailed a registration code to give to their pacer to complete the registration. The add-on is not registration of the pacer.
100 Mile runners may have a pacer on the final two (2) loops.
100 Kilometer runners may have a pacer for the final loop only.
NO pacers in the marathon or half-marathon events.
Pacers are not required. We will have over 300 ultra runners and tons of support, you will not be alone!
You may only have one person pacing you at a time.
It is recommended that pacers start/finish at the Elm Lake Pavilion at the main start/finish line.
The main loop is ~16.7 miles; pacers may also begin from 40 Acre (mile 3.1), Nature Center (mile 5.9), or Sawmill (mile 12.2), but pacer transportation is not provided outside of the normal parking shuttle option (does not go to Sawmill). Remember, only one pacer at a time.
The pacer registration includes their park pass.
Pacers can pick up their pacer bib at any of the packet pickups or the start line timing tent once packet pickup is closed.
Runners may pick up packets (runner, pacer, and extra park passes) on behalf of others by providing their QR code(s) / proof of purchase.
We will have additional event shirts and hoodies available to purchase for your pacers, family, and crew at the event.
All crew, family, and friends are required to purchase a park pass from TROT (unless they are a registered participant, pacer, volunteer, or under 13). Wristbands can be picked up from the packet pickup/merchandise area. Show proof of purchase at the park entrance and pick up wristbands from packet pickup.
Crew and spectators are allowed at any aid station in limited amounts, but should plan on Elm Lake as the only crew access point. All of them you will need to shuttle, walk, or bike to access (there is no stopping a vehicle at an aid station). The crew can not use the aid station supplies. Pacers have full access to the aid stations (same as registered runners). Do not crew your runner outside of an aid station.
Carpool: Please try to limit the number of vehicles entering the park; we have limited parking spaces, especially on Saturday mornings until the marathon and half-marathon are complete. Crew, pacer, and support numbers will be limited by vehicle; support for individuals should carpool in a single vehicle. Excessive amounts of vehicles per runner will not be permitted to enter the park (there will be no parking available). All individuals associated with the race, including crew, support, and pacers, are permitted to ride the parking shuttles in the park for access to the Elm Lake pavilion.
Pacer registration includes: Park Access/Pass, Trail Access, Parking, Shuttle, Expo Access, Pacer Bib, and Aid Station Access/Support.
Pacer Registration and additional park passes open in November.
