What is the race day schedule?

How should I get to the HARPOON 5-MILER? Where should I park?

There is NO parking at Harpoon Brewery during the event. The event post-race party takes place in the Brewery parking lot. Please read ahead to see options on getting to the Harpoon Brewery.
The Harpoon 5-Miler begins and ends at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA.
Every year, the race coincides with several graduations taking place at the Pavilion next door, as well as many cruise ships entering and exiting the Seaport. Drive times can be dramatically increased and parking can be extremely difficult. Taking the T, a taxi, or a ride-share to the Brewery is HIGHLY recommended.

Local Parking Options
Please note that there will be NO parking available at the Brewery, as the entire property will be dedicated to the event space. Here are some other options for parking in the area:

• The Marine Industrial Park garage at 12 Drydock Ave
• The Seaport Hotel Parking Garage
• Limited metered parking in the neighborhood

Public Transportation: 
From South Station, you can take the Silver Line 2 (the SL2) to the Brewery. Get off at the Harbor Street stop, which is the first stop after Silver Line Way.
Do NOT board the SL1 and attempt to take it all the way to the Brewery-- it will take you to Logan Airport instead. You can take the SL1 as far as Silver Line Way, but you must get off there and walk the rest of the way to the brewery. 

Will there be security checkpoints?

There will be security on site at race day.

Can someone else pick up my race kit for me?

Your race kits will be mailed to you before race day, so you will be receiving it directly.

Will there be a bag check at the HARPOON 5-MILER Boston?

Yes! If you bring a bag with you on race day, you will have the option to drop your bag at our race day bag drop. (Free, but donations to The Angel Fund or The Peter Frates Foundation are encouraged).

What should I bring with me on race day?

• Valid ID (for wristband/beer)
• Your bib (from the race kit)
• Your beer tickets + extra (if you bought more)
• A small bag (you can check it)
• Comfortable running gear + shoes
• Hydration (though there may be water on course)
• A phone + cash / card (for extra beer tickets or post-race needs)

What should I not bring with me on race day?

• Large backpacks (since bag check is limited)
• Pets (they are not permitted)
• Strollers (not allowed on the course)

Can I leave the post-race celebration and come back later?

The Harpoon 5-Miler does not allow re-entry into the brewery after leaving as it is considered a private event space.
