VIRTUAL EVENTS
-VIRTUAL EVENTS HIGHLIGHTS-
- All of the Firecracker events may be completed virtually. If you are not in the area to participate in person or have an engagement that prevents an in-person participation, you may participate virtually. Sign up for the virtual version of the event you wish to participate in.
- Whether you’re running, walking, or riding, do it virtually! =)
- Run, walk and/or ride in your favorite neighborhood or part of your city and keep us in the loop by using the free RaceJoy app as you run, walk or ride. You will be able to share the fun with your fellow runners, walkers, cyclists, friends and family.
- Apple and Android users may download the free app Here. Then, check out the short tutorial video on the main page of the app to learn about its GPS tracking and real time interaction capabilities with other RaceJoy users.
- Bib numbers must be entered to use the RaceJoy app.
- Packets will be mailed to participants.

DOWNLOAD THE RACEJOY APP
Once you have downloaded the RaceJoy app and watched the overview tutorial, click on "Featured Races" to find your Firecracker race. Click your event and select "I Want To Be Tracked" and follow the prompts to set up your phone to be used when you are ready to do your virtual run, walk, or ride. You will be asked to enter your basic information (name, e-mail address, birthday, and city). Be sure to test the app's tracking set-up by looking at the map; if your settings are on, you should see your geographic location on this map. Set-up is complete when tracking is turned on. (Once you have completed your own tracking set-up, you may add other participants to track and set up cheers for them as well.) When you are ready to start your personal run, walk or ride, click on "Start My Race." The app will stop tracking once you have completed the distance for which you registered, and will automatically submit your results. SAFETY
Run, walk or ride where it is safe. Run, walk or ride in your neighborhood, National Park, the mountains, the beach or anywhere you choose. Run, walk or ride solo or with someone else. Please be mindful of social distancing when running, walking or riding with others.
RUN/WALK/RIDE
Participants may start logging in their run, walk or ride results beginning on February 1, 2024. Results may be logged manually on the RESULTS PAGE, or via the free RaceJoy app. The RaceJoy app will automatically submit your results. Bib numbers must be entered to use the RaceJoy mobile app (https://www.racejoy.net/)..
All results submissions must be submitted by no later than March 10, 2024.
*VIRTUAL EVENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AGE DIVISION WINNER MEDALS. FINISHER MEDALS WILL BE AWARDED TO ALL VIRTUAL FINISHERS.
-Virtual FAQs-
Q: What will I receive with a virtual registration?
A: Your race packet includes a limited custom designed edition Year of the Dragon T-shirt, a collectible Year of the Dragon finisher's medal, a Year of the Dragon race bib and a custom goody bag. Race bibs are personalized for participants who are registered by January 12, 2024.
Q: When can I expect to receive my race packet?
A: Virtual race packets are scheduled to be mailed the week of February 19, 2024 (*Please note that our race packet ship dates are dependent on supply chain and may be delayed. Virtual registrations after 2/16/2023 may not ship until after the in-person event. Thank you for your patience.)
Q: What if I don’t receive my packet?
A: Check the tracking number and notify USPS They will follow-up with the tracking number. Once the package is accepted and scanned into the USPS system, Firecracker cannot be responsible for the package.
