The Los Angeles Chinatown Firecracker 5/10K Run/Walk, Bike Ride, Kiddie Run and PAW'er Dog Walk is the largest and longest-running Lunar New Year charity run and event in the United States. Established in 1978, Firecracker has since grown over the last 46 years to include a Bike Ride, Kiddie Run and Paw’er Dog Walk and serves the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area with support from Council District One of the City of Los Angeles. All proceeds are reinvested into the community, in support of elementary schools and non-profit organizations, providing services and programs that benefit local neighborhoods.

How To View and Edit Your Registration

-EVENT CHANGES-
Change of events can be made through your RunSignup account. Sign into your account and click on Switch Event to begin the process of changing the event. Charges for the difference in the cost of the event may apply. For more information click this link.
REFUND POLICY
All entry fees are non-refundable. However, you may defer your event once per year that you registered for. You may not alter, reproduce, give or sell your number to another individual – doing so will result in your disqualification as well as disqualification of the individual who uses your race number. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, act of God, etc. There are no exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page. The event will be held rain or shine.
ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:
- A custom designed Year of the Dragon T-shirt specific to the event registered
- A newly designed custom Year of the Dragon finisher medal
- Personalized bib for the Paw’er walk if registered by 1/22
- Custom designed goodie bag
- 1 free beer at the Firecracker Beer Garden (21 years and older) compliments of Angel City Brewery
- Firecracker Chow Mein Carbo Load (on Saturday 2/24/2024 from 10 AM - 2 PM)
- Free bag check during the hours of the event for Metro riders only. We encourage participants to use the Metro Gold Line, exit Chinatown Station.
- Hydration stations on the courses and refreshments at the end of the course
- Access to Firecracker Festival booths from companies and sponsors that support the Firecracker even
5K TIMED AND 10K TIMED RUN PARTICIPANTS:
In addition to the above, you may receive the following:
- Special Award to the overall male and female winners in the 5K and the 10K runs
- Divisional Winner medal to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age division, male and female (no winner medals for the 5K Walk event).
- 5K and 10K events are chip timed for fast & accurate results. Time starts after crossing over the start line mats.
