Race Postponed to Spring 2021!

New Date: TBD

Our Board of Directors met with members of ETSU Health and after extensive conversation and review of current COVID-19 cases in our healthcare system, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone the race until Spring 2021. In light of the rapid uptick of cases in our region, and Tennessee in general, we could not comfortably host a group event no matter the safety precautions we have taken.

We will be sending out details on a date in Spring 2021 as soon as we have that. Racers will have the option to either defer their registration to the Spring race or get a full refund for this year's event. We appreciate you all for sticking with us through this and cannot wait to see everyone for a "Welcome Back To Racing" Bash in the Spring! We will be hard at work to make improvements to the event/environment in the meantime. Please let us know if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. And be safe!

Here Are Your Options:

We will transfer your registration to the new event date once it is set, and look forward to having you join us. Thanks for your patience!

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to help cover our costs. We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

We understand. We hope you can join us next time.

Registration is OPEN!

The Quillen 100 is a team cycling race around the track at Bristol Motor Speedway. Each team has their own pit, exchanges are made on pit road, and the winners are crowned in Victory Lane. This event was created by medical students at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine and is timed and run by Race Day Events.

The main events will feature two relays with 2-4 riders per team:
- The Little Q: each team will cycle 40 laps (20 miles)
- The Quillen 100: each team will cycle 100 laps (50 miles).

**If you are a STUDENT please contact us below with your student email and we will provide you with a coupon - prices for students are $10 for The Little Q and $15 for The Quillen 100**

Teams will be allowed to bring multiple bikes but may use a single bike. Either exchange shown below is allowed. Exchanges must occur within the boundaries of your team's pit and the pit just in front of your team's pit. Boundaries of pit are clearly delineated. Only the current rider and exchanging rider are allowed in the pit. A more detailed outline will be sent in the Event Packet one month prior to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people per team?

You can have anywhere from 2 to 4 people on your team, just depends how much you each want to ride.

Do we have to use the same bike?

No, each rider can be on their own bike!

Do we have to raise money to participate in the event?

No, raising money is simply an option and is not required.

Will the race take place on the banks?

Nope! The race will take place right on the track but will stay off the banks to avoid unnecessary risk or injury for those who don't have experience with velodrome. We love velodrome, but this will not be a velodrome-style race.
