BIKE

Exiting the Transition Area in the parking lot, you'll head directly uphill along the park road towards the dead-end at the back of the park. This challenging 6-mile course offers sprint athletes two laps and long course athletes four loops.

Navigating through the course, you'll encounter a smooth flow, with a strategic loop through a parking lot at the backside to maintain your momentum and concentration. Keep an eye out for the front-side turnaround—a quick descent following a short climb, known as the "hot" corner, where spectators gather to cheer you on. Be sure to adjust your speed accordingly as you approach this turn.

For your safety, the entire course will be closed to all traffic, with cones marking the middle to ensure smooth navigation through the rolling, sweeping, and fast sections. Upon completing your final lap, descend down the hill back to the Transition Area.

This bike course promises to challenge both your fitness level and your gear-changing skills, offering an exhilarating test of endurance and agility.

For athlete support and safety, the 3 Disciplines bike course coordinator will patrol the course in the opposite lane with emergency flashers activated. Athletes experiencing mechanical difficulties can flag down the coordinator for assistance, including access to onboard air and transportation back to transition if necessary.

Strict adherence to race rules is paramount, with the coordinator also serving as an official to monitor for drafting, blocking, and centerline violations. This is a NO DRAFTING event, and penalties for infractions include time increments and, in the case of centerline or cone crossing violations, automatic disqualification.
