Route Start TImes and Maps
- Please allow extra travel time to ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your route start.
- Have your registration QR code ready to expedite your check-in. You will recieve an email with this code on Saturday. Please print this email or save it to your phone.
- Please note there are route and rest stop changes from prior years, so please download the 2025 Breakthrough Challenge Ride with GPS routes below.
Ride with GPS Routes
If you plan to use a GPS unit like Garmin, or Wahoo, or similar, please access and download the route below. You may also print a cue sheet from the Ride with GPS web site, if you prefer to use paper.
At check-in, you will receive a bike sticker with our SAG support number and the rest stop locations for your route (see examples below).


Download TraQCentral App
- The TraQCentral participant app provides an option to call for SAG and/or Medical support via text message using your GPS location.
- The app also provides a photo sharing option so you may share your ride photos via social media and to our event photo album.
- The image shows what you will see on the app. Click on Assistance to request help. Click on Share Progress & Photos to share your ride experience with your family and friends
- You will receive a text message on Saturday, with a one-click link to install and start the app. This is an example of the text message "BC 2025 Practice Event uses TraQCentral for tracking and rider support, https://traq2.app.link/XXXXXXXX to download".

Rules of the Road and Safety
- ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR A HELMET
- OBEY All TRAFFIC LAWS: Observe traffic signs, including stop signs; stop at red lights, etc. Don't jeopardize your safety and the safety of others by disobeying traffic laws.
- RIDE SINGLE FILE
- BE VIGILANT TO THE ROAD CONDITIONS: While the road surfaces of the Breakthrough Challenge routes are paved, not all are devoid of potholes and other "road furniture" common to the back roads on which you will ride.
- BE AWARE WHEN CROSSING BUSY INTERSECTIONS
- USE HAND SIGNALS WHEN TURNING
PASSING A FELLOW RIDER: Cyclists of all abilities ride in the Breakthrough Challenge. Don't assume that another rider knows what you will do next. Announce your presence if you would like to pass another rider. - THE ROADS ARE NOT CLOSED TO TRAFFIC: Cars will be present on the roads. You may also encounter horses, farm equipment, dog walkers, runners, carriages, buggies, etc. SLOW DOWN, ANNOUNCE YOUR PRESENCE, AND PASS WITH CAUTION.
- BE RESPECTFUL OF THE LAND AND THE PROPERTY OWNER — CARRY OUT YOUR TRASH: Volunteers will not be cleaning up items left behind on the course (wrappers from bars, gel shots, etc.). Place your trash in the appropriate bags at rest stops or carry with you on the course.
- BRING A WATER BOTTLE: There will be coolers of water and Gatorade at all rest stops, and at the start and finish line.
Post-Ride Lunch - 11:15 AM to 2:00 PM
Complimentary lunch will be catered by food trucks immediately following the ride (vegetarian and vegan options will be available).
If you own an Epi Pen, please do not forget to bring it with you.
